Our Golden Book star is... Oliver!

Oliver continues to work hard and set a high standard of behaviour. Recently, he demonstrated 'Respect for All' when he offered to share his cookery goodies with a classmate. He was not asked to do this: he simply volunteered showing his kind and thoughtful personality. Oliver is now one of our gardening monitors as he is so responsible. Thank you Oliver!

Week beginning 7th May 2018

Golden Book award goes to ...Fearne!

Well done to Fearne for making such a big impression so soon on her new teacher. Fearne's infectious smile and lovely manners really brighten up the classroom. She is also producing a super amount of work. Keep it up Fearne!

Our Superstar Golden Book entry this week is...Lucy!

Lucy amazed Mrs Whittington last week with her newly found confidence in Maths and English. She is now taking more active part in lessons, raising her hand to answer questions and coming out to show others in the class what she knows. Lucy has a lovely smile that lights up the classroom and this appeared on several occasions throughout last week as she achieved her learning objectives. Also, Lucy proved that she was trying hard to fulfil the Vision Target: ‘Be Happy, Be Safe’ by working alongside others in orienteering activities as well as group work in Science setting up a plant investigation. Brilliant, Lucy – keep up the hard work!

Our Golden Book Star for this week is...

Fearne

Fearne has really been making a huge effort with all of her school work since Mrs Whittington took over the class. Fearne has been working with Mrs Slater to improve her comprehension and spelling skills and this is having a good effect on her class work. She has a super attitude towards her lessons and is steadily growing in confidence being prepared to put her hand up and try out an answer. Fearne can be relied on to co-operate with others in groups, achieving last week’s Vision Target: ‘Respect for All’. She completes tasks to the best of her ability. She reads regularly at home and remembers to change her reading book too. Thank you for the hard working attitude and the lovely smile, Fearne.

                                                      Caitlyn

‘Wanting  to  Learn’  was  the  Vision  Target  last week  and  Caitlyn  certainly  proved  that  she  was  keen  to  do  that.  She  produced  some  nicely  presented  results  in  Science  - drawings  with  labels  to  show  what  happens  when  different  magnetic  poles  are  placed  next  to  each  other. Also,  Caitlyn  tried  really  hard  with  her  art  work  in  Learning  Challenge  -  a  clock  based  on  the  art  work  of  Salvador  Dali.  Caitlyn’s  handwriting  is  clear, well -formed  and  improving  with  every  piece   of  work  she  completes. Finally,  Mrs  Whittington  would  like  to  thank  Caitlyn  for  her  help  in  the  classroom  over  the  last  few  weeks.  Well  done,  Caitlyn  and   keep  up  the  hard  work !

Ava - Mae

A  big  shout  out  to  Super Star Scientist Ava - Mae  who  worked  brilliantly with  her  partner  when  testing  a  set  of  magnets  for strength.  She  really  Tried her Best and Aimed  High – showing  that  she  was  fulfilling  last  week’s  school  Vision  Target.  With  her  partner,  Ava –Mae  discussed  the   test  that  they were  going  to  use  and  then  organised  herself  in  order  to  carry  out  the  test  quickly  and  quietly.  She  recorded  the  results  efficiently  and  also  fed  back  to  the  rest  of  3HS  who  wrote  down  her  comments.  Well   done  Ava – Mae  and  keep  up  the  brilliant  attitude  towards  your  studies!

Bradley

A huge well done to Bradley who tried his best and aimed high in every lesson he was involved in during the short time that we were at school last week. Bradley demonstrated great enthusiasm for the different styles of poetry that Year 3 were learning how to write. He showed that he could sound and clap out syllables and use this knowledge to help him to write his own poetry achieving last week’s school vision Experiencing Different Things. Well done, Bradley and keep up the super attitude towards your school work!
