A brilliant start!
We have had a brilliant start to the year so far! From making a fantastic effort in our new Maths and English classes, delivering the first assembly of the year and even meeting some brilliant animals! (Have a look at the amazing pictures on our class gallery!)

Our Golden Book Star this week is...
As we had our animal workshop last week, we have 2 golden book children this week!
I absolutely love Rio’s attitude to learning! He tries so hard and I can always count on him to really think about the questions he is being asked so he can give as many ideas as possible. What has really stood out so far is how much he is focusing on his reading! He is reading so much at home and at school that I can barely keep up with how many times he needs to change his book. It’s great hearing from the other adults at school that he reads to, how proud they are of him as well. Keep it up Rio – you are impressing us all.
I have really enjoyed seeing how Tom has begun year 6 – he has a great attitude to work and really concentrates on what he is doing. This is shown I some absolutely incredible water colour art work of a rainforest. What has really stood out for me this week though is Tom’s attitude in maths. He has shown great “stickability”. When he needs help he asks for it and perseveres until he understands – he then shows that he can work independently too. What a brilliant attitude to learning and year 6!
