English

Welcome to 3G's English page!

Here you will find out what we will be getting up to in our English lessons and what the spellings are for each week.

This half term in English we will be starting off with our Author's Week. We will be doing activities based around two books; 'The Day the Crayons Quit' and 'The Witches'. We will be studying these books for the whole week and even doing some baking based on one of these books!

After that, we will begin our learning on Adventure and Mystery stories. We will look at what makes a good story and the features relating to these. We start off with a cold write, eventually leading up to our hot write where we will be writing our own Adventure story!

Following that, we will be learning about leaflets. We will be looking at some of the features of leaflets and this will lead up to writing our own leaflets based around our Learning Challenge topic- 'Do you need a plane to get to Spain?'. We start off with a cold write, eventually leading up to our hot write. We hope you can see the how much better the hot write will be!
