Maths

In 4J, we are AMAZING at our times tables, listen to our chants below to practice them at home!

In this half term we will be learning more about shape and we will be revising all of the other areas of Maths that we have struggled with this year! We will be challenging ourselves to answer harder problems involving multiple steps.

Your children need to practice their next set of times tables. To deepen your child's learning, we encourage children to practice the inverse of each multiplication fact. eg. 5 times 10 = 50 so 50 divided by 5 = 10.

It also may be beneficial for this unit of work to also focus on multiplying by ten. For example 6 x 7 = 42 so 60 x 7 = 420. You could further this by looking at decimals. eg. 0.6 x 7 = 4.2.
