Here are our targets for Maths this term:
Using our 12 times table knowledge to recall division facts
Solve division problems
Measure and calculate the perimeter of rectilinear shapes
Finding the area of rectilinear shapes
Estimate, compare and calculate different measure including money in £ & pence
Read, write and convert time between analogue and digital 12 and 24 hour clocks
Solve measurement problems
Compare numbers with up to 2 digit decimal places
Round decimals with 1 decimal place to nearest whole numbers
Write and recognise decimal equivalents for any numbers of 10ths or 100ths
Find the effect of dividing a number by 10 & 100 & identify value of digits in an answer.
Please keep practising your times tables at home too!
Please ensure that your children practise their times tables. To deepen your child's learning, we encourage children to practise the inverse of each multiplication fact.
E.g. 5 times 10 = 50 so 50 divided by 5 = 10.
