For RE this half term, we will be learning about Christian beliefs and rites of passage. We will be looking at their beliefs and values as well as some of the key signs and symbols in their religion. Children will be retelling some of their scriptures to gain a deeper understanding of the faith.
Art: This term we hope to create some vehicles using our art and DT skills!
Geography: As we are learning about transport, we will be looking at the geography of where different transports originated and will be measuring how far different transports can travel.
History: Again, this subject will link to our topic so we will be studying the inventors of some of the world's most successful vehicles.
Computing: In Sawley, online safety is of key importance. We will be having regular talks about not only the benefits of being online but also the risks. In year 4, we aim to prepare the children with a good understanding of their digital footprint and what to do if they see something they find uncomfortable online. We will also be using Google search regularly and will be learning how to use procedures in coding.
Handwriting: We are now encouraging the children to use cursive (joined) handwriting which we will be practicing as a part of our broad and balanced curriculum. We thank you in advance for your support with this in homework activities where appropriate.
