Y5 Mrs Cotter

Hi, You have found the Literacy page for Mrs Cotter's group.

Spring

We are now looking at newspaper reports and will be writing our own about a mini film we watched called 'The Lighthouse'.

READING

Please encourage your child to read a wide range of stories and non fiction texts. 15 minutes quality reading time daily will support your child to achieve their best in the future.

Grammar

We will focus on understanding and developing our skills in grammar and punctuation and work on adding brackets, speech punctuation, commas, semi colons, colons and hyphens.

Spellings

We do our spelling test every Monday. If you achieve 10/10 three times in a row you'll move on to the next spelling level!
