• Pay+ starts 24th April 2017

  An easier way for you to make school payments

   

  After Easter we will be using +Pay on ParentMail – an online payment service which allows you to pay for school items on your smartphone, tablets or computer.

   

  From Monday 24^th April, all dinner money must be paid for in advance; you will pay electronically, with money transferred directly into the school bank account – it’s all very easy, safe and secure. ParentMail doesn’t store credit or debit card details and works in the same way as other large retailers who accept online payments.

   

  You will be able to access your online account from Monday 10^th April and it is vital that you make payments in advance if your child is to have school dinners from 24^th April. Please also note your child must have dinners on the same days each week.

   

  If you have an Android or Apple smartphone, we would highly recommend you download the free ParentMail App so that you can make easy, online payments on the go. To do this, simply search for “ParentMail” in your App store.

   

  If you are unable to make payments online, you can continue to make cash payments until the end of July 2017.

   

  We plan to also use this system to pay for school trips in the future.

   

  If you have any issues or queries with the process or have not registered with ParentMail, where you can access +Pay, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

• JoJo Bows - not banned!

  There currently appears to be a great deal of interest in the wearing of JoJo bows in schools up and down the country. Sawley Junior School is being named on several news sites as one of the schools who have banned JoJo bows. Indeed the school has had several phone calls requesting statements for news items. To clarify, we have not banned JoJo bows but have asked that they are in keeping with school colours as stated in the uniform policy. Thank you to all our parents for their continued support.

• Online Payments are coming

  Dear Parents/carers,

   

  An easier way for you to make school payments

   

  From Monday 24^th April we will be using +Pay on ParentMail – an online payment service which allows you to pay for school items such as dinner money, trips etc on your smartphone, tablets or computer.

  Over 90% of parents say they would prefer to pay for school items online, because it’s easier and more convenient than sending cash or cheques into school – and you can be sure that your money is being spent on the right things!

  We will inform you about items you need to pay through ParentMail, and you will then be able to pay electronically, with money transferred directly into the school bank account – it’s all very easy, safe and secure. ParentMail doesn’t store credit or debit card details and works in the same way as other large retailers who accept online payments.

  Another great thing about +Pay on ParentMail is that you can also make payments using PayPal or PayPoint. This makes the payment process easier than ever before!

  If you have an Android or Apple smartphone, we would highly recommend you download the free ParentMail App so that you can make easy, online payments on the go. To do this, simply search for “ParentMail” in your App store.

  If you are unable to make payments online, you can of course, continue to make cash and cheque. We are however planning to convert to being completely cashless in September 2017

• Run, run, run Sawley!!

  A huge congratulations to all the Sawley pupils who entered the Junior Park Run in Long Eaton! We're so proud of you!

  The Sawley Running Club has been up and 'running' now for 5 weeks. They have run 541km in total which 6L worked out would get us to Inverness and back or  one-way to Frankfurt! The running club will continue to clock up the miles in the coming weeks.

  I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Mrs Whitmore who started up the club. A keen runner herself, she has inspired lots of the adults in school to complete the adult park runs and now she's inspiring the children.

  You can never fault Mrs Whitmore's passion and enthusiasm to be involved with the children outside of her role as the school's business manager. She is a hugely valuable member of our team here at Sawley - I have always appreciated her hard work and dedication to the school and the children love her too!
