  • Year 6 homework club

    Mon 12 Feb 2018
    YEAR 6 SATs Homework Club

We will be running a Year 6 SATs Homework Club every Tuesday from 27th February to 8th May, 2018 from 3.15 – 4.00pm. This is voluntary for any Year 6 pupil who’d like to come along. Staff will be on hand to support the children. This is flexible club – the children don’t have to attend each week but each week they do attend; they will need a signed slip.
Please note - we will not be monitoring how children go home, this is for you to make an arrangement with your child. Simply sign the slip each time your child would like to attend.
  • The Sawley Christmas Bake-Off

  • Christmas Parties

    Tue 28 Nov 2017

    All pupils will have a  Christmas party on the following dates;

    Year 3 Tuesday 12th December 1pm-3pm

    Year 4 Wednesday 13th December 1pm -3pm

    Year 5 Thursday 14th December 1pm- 3pm

    Year 6 Wednesday 13th December 4pm-6pm

If your child is in Year 3, 4 or 5 we would like to ask for donations of party food to be brought in on the day. Food items that would be suitable are crisps, biscuits, cakes and fruit. We would ask that any nut items or anything that needs refrigeration is not sent, such as sausage rolls, sandwiches, cheese etc.

All pupils in Year 3, 4 and 5 are welcome to bring a change of clothes to change into after lunch for their party.

Year 6 pupils will be having pizza provided by the school. For their party they will need to go home at 3.15pm and return to school at 4pm. All Y6 children must be collected from the school hall following the disco.

  • NEW - Headteacher's News

    Mon 25 Sep 2017

At Sawley, we love the opportunity to share news with you be it something quite small and formal or something huge and spectacular!

This year, I would like to trial doing my Headteacher Newsletter 'online'. Creating a newsletter takes up valuable time - and of course, I have to wait until there is enough material for each edition.

An online newsletter will hopefully bring news to you which is hot off the press and has a lot more content: it will also give me scope to add photos and children's work. Click below for the page.
